J.Safra Sarasin loses Southeast Asia CEO

After just over a year in the role, the CEO of Bank J.Safra Sarasin’s Southeast Asia has stepped down.

Erin Morin has resigned, a bank spokesperson confirmed today. Morin leaves after just over one year in the role of managing director and CEO, Singapore branch and Southeast Asia, reporting to Eric Yip, Asia CEO. An industry veteran, he moved to the Swiss private bank in January 2013 after over 26 years at BNP Paribas. His last role at BNP Paribas was that of deputy CEO of Southeast Asia.

J.Safra Sarasin had US$12.4 billion in assets under management in Asia at 2013-end, according to Asian Private Banker estimates, a decline of 6%.
