A former managing director and market head at RBC Wealth Management in Singapore has re-emerged five months after leaving the bank to take up a similar position at LGT.

A spokesperson for the Prince of Liechtenstein’s private bank has confirmed the appointment of Soh Chye Guan as managing director. Soh left RBC Wealth Management in September 2014 after less than a year in the role. While at the Canadian lender, he reported into Grace Barki, head of RBC Wealth Management Southeast Asia.

Soh has more than 30-years’ experience in the industry, including with Barclays, HSBC Private Bank, and J.P. Morgan Private Bank.

LGT has been an active recruiter recently, counting several Julius Baer bankers among its new employees. The bank had US$18.9 billion in assets under management at 2013-end, according to the latest Asian Private Banker estimates.
