US Private Bank Elevates Manager To New Asia Leadership Role

Published by WealthBriefingAsia – 2nd March 2015

This publication can exclusively report on a top-level appointment for the Southeast Asia region at the Wall Street-listed banking group.

Jessica Poh, who has been head of the Singapore and Indonesia market segments at Citi Private Bank in Asia, has been appointed to the newly-created role of global markets manager for Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia and Philippines, this publication can exclusively report.

WealthBriefingAsia was unable to confirm other details about the exact timing of Poh’s appointment at the time of going to press.

Among other recent moves at the bank, Citi said that a wealth management head who joined the firm’s private bank in 2006, Gonzalo Luchetti, had secured the top job at the US firm’s retail division in Asia, taking over a slot left by its predecessor who left early last December. He is based in Hong Kong. Other appointments from last year include that of Sumit Puri, a former executive director at Goldman Sachs Private Wealth Management, who joined Citi Private Bank’s global Indian team of Citi Private Bank in Singapore. (That move represented a return to the US-headquartered business. He worked at Goldman from March 2011; at Citi, he had worked there from 2008 for three years.)
