New regional head at BNP Paribas Wealth Management

An industry veteran has been promoted to head of wealth management for key regional markets after working at various positions with French lender BNP Paribas Wealth Management.

Stephanie Lair is the new head of wealth management for Singapore, Malaysia, and Indonesia, based in Singapore.

She replaces Serge Forti, who is believed to be retiring this year.

A spokesperson at the bank declined to comment on the move.

Prior to this new role, Lair held various roles at the bank. Most recently she was head of investment services, Asia Pacific, BNP Paribas Wealth Management. Prior to that, she was head of products and services for the Asia Pacific.

The bank is yet to announce a replacement head of investment services, Asia Pacific.

BNP Paribas Wealth Management’s AUM rose by 17% year on year to reach US$59.3 billion by end-2014. The relationship manager headcount for the French lender rose 11% to 236 during the same period, according to the latest figures from Asian Private Banker’s 2014 AUM ad RM league tables.
