UBS banker moves to Standard Chartered

Standard Chartered Private Bank has added another relationship manager to its front line, this time from UBS Wealth Management.

Stephanie Zhang joins the bank as a relationship manager, covering the ultra-high net worth segment and Greater China market. She is based in Hong Kong.

When contacted, a spokesperson from the bank declined to comment on the hire.

Zhang held a similar role at UBS Wealth Management covering the same geography and wealth tier from Hong Kong. She worked at the Swiss major for just under a year.

The hire comes shortly after Standard Chartered Private Bank hired Jenny Zheng as an RM from Bank of China International (BOCI). Prior to this, Lilian Ang, a senior private banker from Nomura Wealth Management joined the Asia-focused bank.

In the past three years, Standard Chartered Private Bank has maintained a flat RM headcount of 240 in Asia, according to this publication’s league tables. At the end of 2014, Standard Chartered Private Bank’s assets under management were US$45.0 billion, an 11% year-on-year increase.
