Julius Baer nets another RM

Published by AsianPrivateBanker – 8th May 2015

Julius Baer has added another relationship manager to its growing team, this time a former Credit Agricole banker.

Charles Salvaire has joined the Swiss pure play as an associate director, focusing on institutional clients. Salvaire will report to Serge Janowski, managing director and head of special markets.

When contacted, a spokesperson from the bank declined to comment on the hire.

Prior to his role, Salvaire was at Credit Agricole Private Banking for about two years, based in Hong Kong.

Asian Private Banker reported this week that Julius Baer had hired Florian Garivier for Janowski’s team. Earlier this year, the Swiss pure play on boarded three relationship managers to build out the team in Hong Kong. Johann Santer, Jinhoo Lee and Xavier Bosco joined at the start of the year.

Janowski now leads a team of five private bankers in Hong Kong.

Julius Baer’s assets under management rose to US$78.7 billion and its relationship manager headcount was 260 at the end of 2014, according to this publication’s AUM and RM League Tables.
