After just more than a year with Bank J. Safra Sarasin, an investment counsellor has moved to Pictet.

Soo Ong Ling has joined Pictet’s Asia advisory team as a senior investment advisor based Singapore. She will report to Richard Mak, head of advisory services, Asia, who is based in Hong Kong.

When contacted, a spokesperson from the bank confirmed the hire.

Prior to her role at the Swiss pure play, Soo was an executive director and investment counsellor at Bank J. Safra Sarasin. She held a similar position at HSBC Private Bank for three years. Prior to this, Soo was head of funds and an investment counsellor at BNP Paribas Wealth Management, a position she held for more than eight years.

Pictet Wealth Management had 50 relationship managers in Asia at the end of 2014, a 32% year-on-year increase, according to this publication’s RM league table 2014.
