Investment Manager Names Singapore CEO

As it looks to expand its Asia-Pacific operations an affiliate of Legg Mason has announced new leadership in Asia.

Based in Singapore, Tariq Ahmad will oversee Brandywine Global’s Asia-Pacific business, reaffirming the Firm’s commitment to the region by expanding operations there.

Founded in 1986 the Firm has been a wholly owned, independently operated affiliate of Legg Mason, since 1998.

Ahmad previously served as the head of business development and client service for Brandywine Global’s Singapore affiliate, the firm said in a media release.

Asian Expansion

Prior to joining Brandywine Global, Ahmad served as Chief Executive Officer and Partner of Rogge Global Partners Asia in Singapore, where he managed business development and client service for the Asia-Pacific and Middle East regions.

His industry experience includes investment management roles at Western Asset Management, JP Morgan Asset Management, and State Street Global Advisors.
