Credit Suisse hires a private banker of 35 years’ experience from Citi to head its ultra-high net worth (UHNW) business in the Middle East, according to a statement from the Swiss financial institution.
Muwafwfak Bibi joins the Swiss lender as head of UHNW, Middle East, based in Geneva. Bibi will report to Bruno Daher, chief executive of Credit Suisse Middle East. Bibi was also the chairman of Citi Private Bank in the Middle East and North Africa since 1999.
As of 2013-end, Credit Suisse had CHF115.6 billion (US$114.4 billion) in assets under management.
