Global Head Of Client Experience At Barclays’ Wealth Arm Leaves

Published by WealthBriefingAsia  – 30th January 2015

Anne Grim, who has been head of global client experience at the wealth arm of Barclays since 2010, has left the firm, this publication can exclusively report. Her future career plans at this stage are unknown.

It is understood that the global client experience arm of the bank is being realigned and Grim will not be replaced.

The news comes as the bank announced earlier this week a senior appointment to its European business. Francesco Grosoli was appointed to the post of head of wealth management Europe, a newly created role as part of a restructuring of the firm’s senior wealth team, the bank told this publication.

Prior to joining Barclays, Grim had been executive vice president for e-business and strategic partnerships at Wells Fargo Financial from 2008 to 2010, according to her LinkedIn profile, based in Iowa in the US. Prior to that position, Grim was EVP at Wells Fargo’s home and consumer finance group from 2004 to 2008; before that, she was a senior vice president and general manager for American Express, based in New York.

There have been a number of high-level comings and goings at the wealth arm of Barclays over the past year. Last September, Barclays said Akshaya Bhargava had been made its new chief executive of wealth and investment management, filling a slot left by the departure of Peter Horrell, as originally reported in June 2014. Horrell’s own appointment came in the wake of the departure of Thomas Kalaris, who had been part of the management team since 1996.

Since last year, when Barclays restructured its business lines, the financial results of the wealth management arm of the bank are no longer disclosed.
