Singaporean lender DBS Private Bank has appointed an investment counselor who previously worked as portfolio manager for the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA).

Harvey Lim is now an investment counsellor at DBS Private Bank, based in Hong Kong. He reports to Rocky Cheung, head of investment advisory, wealth management, Hong Kong.

A spokesperson from the bank confirmed the hire.

Lim’s experience at HKMA included asset allocation, sales and trading, and product experiences. He was previously at ABN AMRO from 2007-2008, also based in Hong Kong.

DBS Private Bank’s relationship manager headcount rose by 24% year on year to 267 at the end of 2014, according to Asian Private Banker’s Relationship Manager Headcount 2014 league table,  following the Singaporean lender’s acquisition of Societe Generale Private Banking in Asia.
