Shawn Lytle was named president of Delaware Investments, effective June 1, spokesman Matthew Hickerson said.
Mr. Lytle will replace Patrick Coyne, who is retiring. Mr. Coyne will remain at Delaware Investments through Sept. 30 to assist in the leadership transition.
Mr. Lytle will be responsible for overseeing all operations of the company. He also will assume Mr. Coyne’s responsibilities as regional head for North America at parent company Macquarie Investment Management. He will report to Ben Bruck, chairman of Delaware Investments and global head of Macquarie Investment Management.
Mr. Lytle was head of Americas at UBS Global Management. He was replaced by Blake Moore, former head of distribution at Mackenzie Investments, according to an internal memo to UBS employees and given to Pensions & Investments.
Delaware Investments had more than $185 billion in assets under management as of Dec 31.
