Soon after being reported as leaving Coutts, the head of greater China has resurfaced at Barclays.
AsianPrivateBanker reported earlier this week that Andrew Sum was leaving Coutts. He has since resurfaced at Barclays. Sum is believed to be taking up a similar role to the one he held at Coutts.
Two other bankers who left Coutts with Sum will be joining him at Barclays.
When contacted, a spokesperson from Barclays declined to comment.
Barclays had US$36 billion in assets under management, up 6% year on year according to the latest Asian Private Banker AUM league tables.
