Coutts’ global head of active advisory exits

Published by AsianPrivateBanker – 29th April 2015

The global active advisory head for Coutts has left after 17 years at the bank.

At Coutts Quentin Marshall was responsible for bank’s global active advisory teams in London, Zurich, Hong Kong and Singapore, based in London. Marshall oversaw clients who wanted to play an active role in managing their portfolios with advice from Coutts.

His replacement has not been announced.

Prior to Coutts, Marshall worked at UBS as a senior client advisor, where he advised major private and listed companies, and the Indonesian market during the Asian financial crisis.

The departure comes after the much awaited announcement of Swiss bank UBP’s decision purchase Coutts International. Shortly after the deal was sealed, Coutts saw a raft departures including Andrew Suma and Willie Cheng in Hong Kong, who both joined Barclays.

Andrew Lo and Rat Chan also left the bank.
