After four years in Asia, Patrick Grossholz will relocate back to the bank’s Switzerland headquarters to serve in a global role.

Grossholz was appointed global head of IPS portfolio specialists within the IPS global distribution management, according to an internal memo seen by FSA.

He will report to Dominic Vail, head of investment products and services (IPS) global distribution management, based in Zurich.

The appointment was effective August 15 and was mentioned earlier by FSA.

For four years, Grossholz served as the firm’s head of investment management for Asia-Pacific and head of IPS in Hong Kong.

His replacement is Stefan Lecher, who comes from the firm’s asset management side. Lecher had been global head strategist for multi-asset and solutions, overseeing all multi asset strategist activity worldwide.

He joined UBS AM in 2004. Prior to that, he held various positions at McKinsey and Co, Zurich Financial Services and Generali Insurance.

FSA understands that Sean Cochran remains managing director and head of portfolio specialists for Asia-Pacific and will continue to be responsible for looking at specific fund selection.
