Natixis Global Asset Management has recruited a general manager and head of Institutional Business Development for it business unit in Taiwan.
Based in Taipei Tony Huang joins the French asset manager as general manager and head of Institutional Business Development for Taiwan. He will report to Kinji Kato, executive managing director and head of Japan.
Huang has more than 20 years of experience in the financial services industry in Taiwan and joins from Neuberger Berman, where he was a senior vice president and head of Business Development, the firm said in a statement.
Fastest Growing Region
Prior to this, he spent five years at Aberdeen Asset Management as a senior manager for business development. He also held various positions at SinoPac Financial Holdings from 1998 to 2007.
He will be responsible for business initiatives across the institutional, wholesale and retail channels of the firm’s Taiwan operations, as well as spearheading new Institutional business development initiatives.
Asian Expansion
«Taiwan represents an important part of Natixis’s growing footprint in Asia Pacific as we seek to expand across the region over the coming years,» said Fabrice Chemouny, head of Asia Pacific, Natixis Global Asset Management.
Natixis Global Asset Management opened its Taiwan office in 2009. Since first establishing a presence in Asia in Tokyo in 2001,the firm has added offices in Singapore, Hong Kong, Seoul, Taipei and Beijing.
