BNP Paribas Securities Services has hired Caleb Wong, the former managing director of State Street Alternative Solutions, for the newly created position of head of alternative investors in Asia Pacific.
Based in Singapore, he will lead the alternative investors client teams in Asia Pacific and grow the franchise across the hedge fund and private capital sectors in the region, the company says in a statement on November 28.
He reports to Mostapha Tahiri, BNP Paribas Securities Services’ head of institutional investors for Asia Pacific, who says the company has been building client solutions for alternatives across the region since 2015 and “we are winning landmark client mandates”.
“Mr. Wong’s expertise and experience in Asia Pacific will be very valuable for us to further accelerate our development,” Mr. Mostapha says in the statement.
Paris-based BNP Paribas Securities Services offers a range of solutions to clients, including investment analytics, global fund distribution, trustee services, fund administration and middle office outsourcing.
