Singapore’s Fullerton Fund Management (Fullerton) has named Karen Wu and Ken Goh to take over the responsibilities of two officials who recently left to join Franklin Templeton.

A Fullerton spokesperson tells Asia Asset Management that Ms. Wu, a portfolio manager based in Shanghai, has taken over management of the company’s onshore China equities fund from Jason Zhu, the former head of China equity.

She reports to Kristen Lee, Fullerton’s Singapore-based head of China equities.
Meanwhile Mr. Goh, Fullerton’s head of equities, has taken over the responsibilities of former portfolio manager Shih Yu-Jen.

Franklin Templeton on December 12 named Mr. Zhu as managing director and director of portfolio management for China in the Franklin Templeton Emerging Markets Equities division. Mr. Shih was appointed as the division’s portfolio manager and deputy director of research.

Ms. Wu joined Fullerton in September as portfolio manager of China equities. She was previously a portfolio manager and a section head of research at Franklin Templeton Sealand, the US investment manager’s joint venture in China with Sealand Securities.

Mr. Goh, who reports to Fullerton’s Chief Investment Officer Patrick Yeo, has been with the company since July 2017. He was previously managing director and chief executive at the Singapore office of Malaysia’s CIMB Principal Asset Management.

Fullerton, a subsidiary of Singapore’s state investment firm Temasek Holdings, had S$17.9 billion (US$13.14 billion) of assets under management at the end of 2017.
