Asset manager PineBridge Investments has created a new role of Chief Operating Officer for Asia. This announcement follows a series of appointments as the firm continues to grow its team and operations in Asia.
Taking up the position and based in Hong Kong will be Jennifer Theunissen. She will report to Global Chief Operating Officer, Julian Sluyters and Asia Chief Executive Officer, Rajeev Mittal,the firm said in a statement to finews.asia.
Theunissen has more than 18 years of experience in financial services, 11 of which have been spent in Asia. She most recently worked at Deutsche Asset Management in Hong Kong, where she served as Chief Operating Officer Asset Management APAC. She previously worked at Credit Suisse Asset Management in Hong Kong, supporting the business across all major markets in Asia.
Robust Operational Standards
The announcement of this new role follows a series of appointments by PineBridge as the firm continues to grow its team and operations in the Asia Pacific region, particularly in the institutional space.
“Jennifer Theunissen’s appointment to this new position enables us to continue to ensure we have robust operational standards and market leading risk controls in place to support the continued growth of our business in Asia,” said Mittal.
