Schroders, the UK-listed investment house and private bank, has made Jason Yu head of multi-asset product for North Asia.
Based in Hong Kong, Yu will focus on supporting the growth of Schroders’ Multi-Asset business in North Asia. He joins in June, reporting to Garth Taljard, head of multi-asset management. Yu’s responsibilities include Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, Korea and Japan markets, working with both institutional and intermediary clients.
Previously, Yu worked at Standard Life Investments, Hong Kong, where he was investment director in multi-asset for Asia-Pacific. He brings with him over 13 years of experience in finance, including roles at Wellington Management, Wells Fargo and Barclays Capital and has worked across Asia and the US.
The Asia product team also collaborates with the global multi-asset product and portfolio management teams.
The firm’s multi-asset business holds more than $82 billion of assets under management, employing more than 85 investment professionals worldwide. Across the entire Schroders business, it oversees $490 billion of assets, with 4,100 staff.
