Mary-Therese Barton was named head of emerging markets debt at Pictet Asset Management, a spokeswoman said.
Ms. Barton, who is senior investment manager at the firm, replaces Simon Lue-Fong. His future plans could not be learned. Ms. Barton will retain her previous responsibilities.
Ms. Barton alongside Mr. Lue-Fong built Pictet’s dollar and local currency debt business. Details on the size of the strategy could not be learned by press time.
Pictet has 192 billion Swiss francs ($194 billion) in assets under management, including 18 billion Swiss francs in emerging markets debt.
