Credit Suisse Asset Management’s (Credit Suisse AM) private equity arm NEXT Investors has raised US$261 million for a fund that will invest in technology and financial services businesses globally.
Participants in the NEXT Investors II Fund include financial institutions, ultra-high-net-worth individuals, fund of funds and family offices across the Americas, Europe and Asia Pacific, Credit Suisse AM says in a July 24 statement.
“The team at NEXT Investors has been investing together for over 18 years, and by leveraging Credit Suisse’s broad banking and technology platform, we are uniquely positioned to source and evaluate investment opportunities in financial services technology and to create value for our portfolio companies,” Alan Freudenstein, co-head and portfolio manager at NEXT Investors, says in the statement.
According to Credit Suisse AM, the NEXT Investors team has poured $498 million into 71 investments in sectors including financial technology, data analytics and speciality finance.
Switzerland-based Credit Suisse AM had $410 billion of assets under management as at March 31, 2018
