Janus Henderson has announced the appointment of Tal Lomnitzer as its new senior investment manager within the global natural resources team, effective 25 February.
In his new role, Lomnitzer would be based in London where he would focus on the strategies and mandates domiciled in both the UK and Luxembourg.
He has more than 20 years’ experience and joined from Colonial First State Global Asset Management/First State Investments in London where he was most recently the deputy head of global resources.
Prior to First State, Lomnitzer was a partner at NewSmith Capital and ORN Capital in the UK where he was in charge of global resources and energy funds.
The company also announced the promotion of Daniel Sullivan to co-head of the global natural resources team, alongside David Whitten.
“As Janus Henderson Investors continues to expand in Australia, with solid growth from both and retail and institutional channels, we will continue to be forward-looking and invest in our business,” Matt Gaden, Head of Australia, said.
“Tal’s appointment is another indication of that, and of our long-term commitment to the Australian market.”
