The Bank of Singapore’s head of research and product marketing has resigned soon after the return of the bank’s head of fund solutions.
John Ng was at the bank for almost eight years. He oversaw research in equities, bonds and funds, and was also responsible for the marketing and communications of Bank of Singapore’s investment products.
Ng is believed to be considering his options.
“John Ng has tendered his resignation,” Marc Van De Walle, global head of products, Banks of Singapore confirmed. “Like any prudent organisation, we are prepared for staff movement and have plans in place to ensure that our clients continue to receive the excellent service they expect of us.”
The move follows a shakeup at the bank earlier this year when incumbent head of fund solutions, Chandrima Das rejoined the bank after resigning late last year.
Prior was at BN to his role at Bank of Singapore, Ng was at BNP Paribas’ Fortis bank where he held various positions, including investment manager and senior , manager in Amsterdam and Singapore.
As of 2014-end, Bank of Singapore had US$51billion in assets under management, an 11% year-on-year increase.
