Standard Chartered Private Bank has poached a new global head of investment advisory from Julius Baer as part of a push to build out its wealth management team.

Christian Mueller started in the new role in Singapore on March 9. He had been with Swiss private bank Julius Baer since November 2013 in the same city, most recently as Asia head of investment advisory.

The Canadian firm has expanded its North Asia team with two senior appointments.

RBC Wealth Management, part of Royal Bank of Canada, has hired two new senior relationship managers, Joanna Koo and Gala Shiu, as directors within its Singapore-based North Asia team.

Another senior manager is believed to be leaving RBS’ private banking arm, this time the Philippines market head.

Ray Chan, Coutts’ head of Philippines market, is thought to have resigned. Chan has been in the role since 2012.

Soon after being reported as leaving Coutts, the head of greater China has resurfaced at Barclays.

AsianPrivateBanker reported earlier this week that Andrew Sum was leaving Coutts. He has  since resurfaced at Barclays. Sum is believed to be taking up a similar role to the one he held at Coutts.

Canadian wealth manager, BMO Private Bank, has added one more to its headcount with the addition of another Hong Kong relationship manager.

Petty Lee joins the Toronto headquartered lender as an executive director. Previously, Lee was a senior relationship manager and team leader at ABN Amro Private Banking.
