BMO Private Bank’s Asia head steps down

More than two years after being appointed as the Asia head of Bank of Montreal’s (BMO) private banking arm, the 20 year veteran in legal and wealth management services steps down from the role.

Robert Cormie exits BMO Private Bank two years after joining the Canadian rival, Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC) where he was its managing director and Asia Pacific head.

One of the senior figures in international private banking is to step down in the wake of a merger deal, a report says

The head of Royal Bank of Scotland’s overseas private banking arm, Coutts International, is due to step down after that operation’s sale to Switzerland’s Union Bancaire Privee a few weeks ago, Reuters reported, quoting an unnamed source.

The global active advisory head for Coutts has left after 17 years at the bank.

At Coutts Quentin Marshall was responsible for bank’s global active advisory teams in London, Zurich, Hong Kong and Singapore, based in London. Marshall oversaw clients who wanted to play an active role in managing their portfolios with advice from Coutts.
