Our client a Tier 1 Global Bank offers top-tier integrated cash management and trade finance services to multinational corporations, financial institutions, and public sector organizations globally. Cross Border Payments in the Asia Pacific region is a thriving and growing element in finance, with banks cash business’ valuing cross border as a crucial element of their growth. This dynamic landscape of digital payment systems in the Asia Pacific, coupled with the growth of innovative e-commerce and digital players, presents an exciting opportunity to foster growth, innovation, and solutions for cross-border payments. At the forefront of this our client views this as a fundamental driver of sustainable revenue. As such our client is looking for senior stakeholder, collaborative and able to lead as the Head of Cross Border Funds Transfer, Asia. At this level, the successful candidate will need to coordinate at global, regional, and country levels, leading by example at the front.

impact.

Key Responsibilities:
• Responsible for our client’s cross-border and cross-currency payments business in Asia.
• Achieve regional revenue targets,
• Shape product strategy,
• Drive commercialisation, ensuring an exceptional client experience,
• Advance the drive for technology and modernisation agenda.

Key responsibilities encompass:
• Strong execution background with a proven ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders across the organisation, this will include sales, coverage, FX, operations, technology, and other functional partners.
• Strong analytical, interpersonal, and leadership skills, along with the ability to influence others and build effective partnerships.

Core:
• Oversee and grow the transactional FX and fee revenues in Asia.
• Work closely with regional teams to commercialise the cross-border payments product proposition across client segments and lead product development across the region.
• Partnering with FX teams to boost transactional FX flows through targeted initiatives and bundled solutions byclient segment and country.
• Leveraging deep product expertise to adapt to the rapidly changing business environment for our client and its clients.

• Understanding customer needs and market trends to translate opportunities into new capabilities and product enhancements.
• Driving platform modernization to ensure that the product roadmap addresses current gaps, is globally scalable, and positions our client’s cross-border payments offering for the future.
• Collaborating with various stakeholders, including Operations and Technology, Legal, Compliance, AML, and Risk, to enhance product delivery, streamline processes, ensure operational excellence, and maintain a robust risk and control environment.
• Assessing risk appropriately in business decisions, exercising ethical judgment, and promptly addressing control issues with transparency.
• Establishing trust-based relationships with internal network partners and fostering connections with external industry stakeholders.

Experience Profile:
• 12+ years of relevant experience in transaction banking and payments business.
• Strong knowledge of product management disciplines.
• Profound knowledge of payments, cash management, SWIFT, FX, e-commerce, and emerging payment flows.
• Strong interpersonal skills and credibility to lead and influence a broad stakeholder base.
• Effective problem-solving, organization, multitasking, and judgment application.
• Ability to efficiently prioritize tasks, work under pressure across different time zones to meet deadlines and fulfil client commitments.
• Strong execution skills, meticulous follow-through, and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation skills, and proficiency in MS Office.
• Familiarity with the competitive landscape, client requirements, and other competing solutions is a plus.

Education:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
Master’s degree preferred.
