Grosvenor, the privately-owned international property group, has appointed a former senior UBS executive, Benjamin Cha, as its Asia-Pacific chief executive, the group’s Asia-based proprietary arm. From yesterday, he takes over from Nicholas Loup, who moves on from the company. Loup set up the Asia business in Hong Kong in 1994; operations have since expanded to Tokyo and Shanghai.

A senior private banker at JP Morgan in Singapore, Harjeet Singh, has left the US firm, this publication can exclusively reveal.

Singh, an executive director at the firm, is a specialist in the India-focused market. Although this publication has heard rumours about where he has gone, it hasn’t been able at the time of going to press to establish his future firm and role, and will update in due course.

Bryan Goh has joined Bordier & Cie in Singapore as CIO.

Most recently Bryan was Head of Alternative Investments at DBS Private Bank. Earlier he has worked at First Avenue Partners, Oaks Family Office and Arab Bank. He also founded an online retail business for fine watches in 1997.

A Julius Baer managing director has left the pure-play after nearly 10 years to cover a different region and segment.

Nayeem Khan has left Julius Baer where he was a managing director and the head of international operations based in Singapore. He has joined Qatar First Bank (QFB) as its new chief operating officer. Khan will be responsible for overseeing the Islamic bank, based in Doha, Qatar.
