Job Overview

The role leads the Market Risk Analytics quant team. This unit is responsible for creating and maintaining portfolio market risk methodologies and ensuring a strong risk measurement framework for effective risk management and regulatory capital calculation.
This is a matrix team with members in Singapore, Hong Kong and London.
The successful candidate will own the market risk models; be responsible for developing methodologies, including internal risk management. In addition to dealing with senior stakeholders (audit, quants, market risk managers) in the business, they will also interact with regulators and auditors.

The Role & Person

A seasoned Relationship Manager with at least 10 years’ experience.

A banker at heart, still enjoys the “advisory” element of Wealth Management.

The ideal candidate could be jaded with the constant politics and cookie cutter approach of the banks they work for, alternatively they are just looking for a “work life” balance change.

The Lending Officers work closely with other key stakeholders creating solutions, formulating and implementing a Lending business strategy for the APAC region.
• Have accountability for the attainment of set performance targets, optimum resource utilisation and adherence to relevant internal policies/controls and regulatory requirements.
• They will partner with Sales, Origination and/or Trading to ensure that products/ solutions/platforms meet the needs of the Bank/clients and participate in the negotiation and execution of the mandated transactions with clients.
• They will ensure adherence to the NPA/NTA process and participate in discussions with internal partners (e.g. Risk; Legal) as appropriate, for the smooth execution of transactions.
• This is a role which requires an ability to influence stakeholders, including customers, seniors of the bank and Risk, to deliver on aggressive growth plans and to ensure processes meet the Bank’s highest standards.

The Role

The main focus of this role is the structuring, execution and lifecycle management of Strategic Solution transactions linked to the significant assets and complex portfolios of UHNW clients. Strategic solution trades are executed via referrals from the banks large client base of UHNW & institutional-side businesses. The role also encompasses the referral of very large, active-investor UHNW clients to trade directly with Global Markets. This role is a Senior Regional leadership role, leading teams in HK and Singapore covering all APAC clients.
